A few days ago I began reading the book of Acts. It didn’t take me but just a few steps into His Word in Acts, and I was totally captured, enthralled by the unfolding power of this precious account of our Christian heritage! How many times have we as a people gathered in our church groups, family events, or with friends that something as life changing, as powerful, as receiving The Holy Spirit -all together – at one time happened? Yes, I have attended church meetings where someone had prayed for all of us to receive the baptism of The Holy Spirit. Did it happen? Did Holy Spirit come in an breath on the entire group? I believe He did; however, not everyone could say they felt His Presence nor His Power. They hoped He would manifest Himself at some point. The not so small group gathered in the upper room in the Acts Church received The Holy Spirit and then Acts 1:9 tells us, “After He said this, He was taken up before their very eyes, and a cloud hid Him from their sight. They were looking intently up into the sky as He was going, when suddenly two mend ressed in white stood beside them. ‘Men of Galilee,’ they said, ‘why do you stand here looking into the sky? This same Jesus, Who has been taken from you into heaven, will come back in the same way you have seen Him go into Heaven.'” That was powerful!! That was convincing; that was astonshing! What would we have done with this amazing event? Would boldness have stepped into our hearts – so much boldness that no one, nothing could ever stop us from sharing The Good News of Jesus and His Love?
It was after having read those words my heart caught the fire of the power of The Holy Spirit, and my mind began racing right along with my heart! I wanted, desired more of God than ever before, I wanted to know about the people of Acts! How did they move forward after such an event – after such a witness! I want to tell everyone – look – seek – you will see Him!!! Boldly seek Him in all the arenas of your life; He will show Himself! Why? Because He loves you, He loves us – together we are His children! The people of Acts knew this, and they talked about Him together – daily! I believe that is why I have started this blog. I want to talk with you every day about God! About His Love!
Come join me! What a blessing you would be to as you share your heart of boldness about His Love for you! I am so excited – let’s get together and join the people of Acts!
Blessings,
Ginger
